The City of Edinburg, the Edinburg World Birding Center, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department are proud to announce the 2008 RGV Coastal Expo!
Each year, along with our many partners, we bring this fantastic event to our region, opening up a world of coastal creatures, wetland ecology, and outdoor adventure for our youth.
The event will be held at the Edinburg Municipal Park on March 13th & 14th, from 9 am to 2 pm. We expect to have over 4,000 elementary school children and adults attend this event.
Coastal Expo is designed to bring the coast, its associated ecology, and the wonders of the Rio Grande into the backyards of our youth. Using a multitude of hands-on stations, interactive booths, nature walks, outdoor skills trainings, and more, we introduce children to the world of wonder and exploration of our Texas coast and river basin.
